AMS Advanced Virtual Academy (AVA)
At Advanced Virtual Academy (AVA), scholars are provided the same award-winning Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math (STEAM) curriculum as found at our on-campus schools but now available online. Unlike other schools that simply provide online video feeds for learners, our Advanced Virtual Academy is developed exclusively for 100% online knowledge transfer for remote students.
AMS AVA is live instruction from real teachers with smaller class sizes than other online school choices. Additionally, AVA continues to provide scholars with all of the valuable special programs as found at our physical campuses.
Our advanced online curriculum is designed for scholars that have not been challenged in their traditional school. At AVA, we provide a tailored K-8 private-school style education tuition-free.
Scholars are engaged in foreign languages, advanced mathematics and science, as well as arts and music. Students have the ability to be involved in extracurricular clubs and sports. AVA schedules numerous events throughout the school year to provide team building exercises and positive social experiences.

In the 2015-2016 school year, AMS Prince students passed the AzMERIT statewide assessment at nearly double the rate of other schools in Arizona. In March 2016, AMS Prince and MASSA were recognized by the Education Equality Index as two of 10 schools in Tucson closing the achievement gap.
As a network, AMS by some measures is one of the highest performing networks in the state. Our campuses outperform most or all schools in their respective neighborhoods and the AMS district as a whole has outperformed local schools by an average of over 20% in math, language arts, and science since 2010. In 2008, AMS Prince was one of only sixteen public charter schools nationwide honored by the United States Department of Education “No Child Left Behind – Blue Ribbon Schools” program, which recognizes schools that make significant progress in closing the achievement gap.
