How are we doing, you ask?

AMS is growing – fast

We’ve expanded by 1000 students in the last 4 years. In the next 3-5, we will expand by another 3000 students. To meet the needs of at-risk Arizona communities, we need an average of 50 new teachers a year. And if you’re interested in leadership positions long term, we also have a yearly need for lead teachers, instructional coaches, assistant principals, and network staff.

What to Expect in the Application Process:

AMS Carrers

Step 1:

Submit a detailed resume describing your experience (complete with dates of employment) and data-supported accomplishments. For some positions, include a cover letter OR writing sample showcasing your written communication skills and demonstrating your alignment with the AMS mission and competencies. If you are interested in multiple positions, only one application is needed, and we will consider you for all potential matches.

Step 2:

If your application matches our current needs, you will receive an email (typically within 2-5 days) with brief content assessments and instructions to schedule an interview with the hiring principal. If you don’t currently live nearby, you may schedule a Skype interview. For some positions two interviews may be required, but not always.

Step 3:

If selected for the position, our hiring team will contact your references, which are submitted with your initial application but not contacted until this point. We will need 3 professional references including at least 1 supervisor, and preferably from your most recent place(s) of employment.
