At AMS, we believe in offering an advanced full-day kindergarten curriculum at no cost to parents! Our dedicated teachers and paraprofessionals work tirelessly to guide and support every student in building character traits such as respect, kindness, responsibility, and friendship. We offer affordable before and after-school care, free breakfast and lunch ensuring that our students are always in a safe and nurturing environment.
At AMS, kindergarten is one of the most important years for learning and growth. Students learn how to follow routines, work with classmates, and build strong relationships with teachers and friends. In the classroom, children practice important reading and math skills like learning letter sounds, sounding out words, reading from left to right, counting, and simple addition and subtraction. These skills help students feel confident and ready for first grade.

Don't Pay for Another Year of Preschool
We are accepting Kindergarten Readiness applications for students turning 5 between Sept. 1st and Dec. 31st, of this year. Please keep in mind that each AMS campus will only extend offers to Early Kinder applicants after extending offers to scholars who turned 5 by or on August 31st, of this year. Early Kindergarteners are required to take a readiness placement assessment to determine if Kindergarten is right for them.
At AMS, we make starting the early kindergarten admission easy. After providing your contact information and submitting an application for kinder readiness, we’ll provide you with the details to start the advanced kinder screening and provide options for our kindergarten programs. At any time through the registration process, we encourage you to schedule an on-campus tour at any one of our schools.
Readiness evaluations are available for free. Apply first then you will be contacted to schedule your child’s assessment!

In the 2015-2016 school year, AMS Prince students passed the AzMERIT statewide assessment at nearly double the rate of other schools in Arizona. In March 2016, AMS Prince and MASSA were recognized by the Education Equality Index as two of 10 schools in Tucson closing the achievement gap.
As a network, AMS by some measures is one of the highest performing networks in the state. Our campuses outperform most or all schools in their respective neighborhoods and the AMS district as a whole has outperformed local schools by an average of over 20% in math, language arts, and science since 2010. In 2008, AMS Prince was one of only sixteen public charter schools nationwide honored by the United States Department of Education “No Child Left Behind – Blue Ribbon Schools” program, which recognizes schools that make significant progress in closing the achievement gap.
