Ms. Meyers shares her favorite part about teaching is when she can see that her students really get it. They are able to apply what they’ve learned even if it’s a concept they learned a while ago. Through retention, they can reflect on previous knowledge and bring it into the days learning. She reflects on how to keep her students are complimentary of each other in their daily studies.
Ms. Meyers describes what make’s AMS special. She values the family atmosphere between the students and teachers because of the collaboration between everyone. Her 1st grade students have the ability interact with each other during “turn and talk” sessions and love to congratulate others for correct answers.
